REFUGEES are NOT Immigrants

Have you noticed that the news services have begun calling refugees immigrants?

The Statue of Liberty was a gift from the French people. In the 1900's a poem from Emma Lazarus's sonnet "New Colossus" was placed inside the pedestal.  That poem reads: "Give me your tired, your poor, hour huddled masses yearning to breath free."The poem is our American way of life in welcoming immigrants to our country. This does not mean we will tolerate people entering our country for the purpose of destroying our way of life, heritage or nation...some of our own citizens want to do that.

Refugees are defined as "a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster". The burden of their health and welfare falls on our government - and to be clear that means each and every American citizen loses more of our personal income for them.

Immigrants are defined "as a person who comes to a country to live there...as a permanent resident or naturalized citizen, or to take-up employment as a migrant worker or temporarily as a foreign worker". For the most part these people have become part of our society, follow our laws, make money to sustain their own health and welfare and much more.

Our laws are based on the Charters of Freedom which includes the Constitution of the United States (of America). You can learn about those Charters at: http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/charters/charters_of_freedom_4.html

President Obama has said "we are a Muslim nation" - he is promoting a lie. The largest collection of religious denominations we have follows Christ and are called CHRISTian - the second largest is Judaism. Regardless of what organized atheists and others have been doing they are not a majority of our citizens.

By our Constitution our government is prohibited from favoring any religion above another.

Refugees are expected by the majority of American citizens to only have temporary residence. As most are expected to return to their native countries we can realistically believe that most refugees have no desire of integrating into our nation as Citizens.

Dear Refugees:

Although your financial burden falls collectively on the American citizen most of us have no issues in seeing to the welfare of your young children and their verifiable mothers. You have fled from your country due to military/terrorist activities threatening your lives for very extended periods of time. It is a normal expectation that we look very cautiously at all of your children above the age of 8 and your physically in good health adults. Why age 8? Studies have shown regardless of the culture children have most of their values established at that age and changing them is difficult. We are rightful in questioning why your adults of "fighting age" and particularly your men have chosen to flee your country instead of attempting to fight for it.

We are not foolish enough to believe all of you do not intend to do us harm. We rightly suspect some of you are here to perform acts of terror.

Decisions and actions of our administration has cast American citizens as being weak. Our news services keep alluding we are all full of fear. Be assured there are those of us that will panic and run - but be very assured there are many of us that won't.
What is expected? Do no harm - and no harm will be done to you - and this applies to American citizens as well! If you wish to integrate into our society know that our laws of the land outweigh the laws you bring with you.
